Google has just announced the support of your online application of calendars, Google Calendar, with the CalDAV protocol, which we can configure our Mac iCal application to have our calendars always synchronized.
But before we could already have our calendars to Google Calendar in iCal or Outlook, CalDAV support allows a bidirectional synchronization, which allows calendars both online and offline always updated.
Although the configuration in iCal is very simple, Google has published a guide to set up Google Calendar with iCal with CalDAV (in English)
